THE RACECOURSE FRAY BENTOS

The racecourse of Fray Bentos, named "Dr. Mario Carminatti" in homage to the former Mayor of Rio Negro and politician that promoted the purchase of the land where the Equestrian Center was built, located 5 kilometers from the city of Fray Bentos , very close to Las Cañas beach.

Although it has an important infrastructure composed of 90 boxes, auction rooms, catwalks, party halls, stands for 800 people and a 1,500 meter arena, the small number of racehorses in the middle does not generate an important movement of the Hippodrome Rionegrense for which the owners of the horses must move to other centers, mainly to Mercedes and Paysandú.
